Skeleton Dance Party Machine Embroidery Design Set contains four independent dancing skeleton designs in theatrical Halloween costumes. Each character has a different pose, outfit and color palette, allowing you to create a coordinated collection of sweatshirts, cushions, placemats, tote bags or party decorations.

The set includes one separately digitized 5x7 size of each character. These are filled embroidery designs rather than lightweight outlines. This listing contains digital files for computerized embroidery machines. No finished patch, clothing, fabric, thread or physical product will be shipped.

This is a combined thread shopping list, not the embroidery sequence. Follow the individual color chart supplied with each design when embroidering.

Important 5x7 Hoop Compatibility

The commercial name 5x7 usually refers to a 130x180 mm embroidery field, approximately 5.12x7.09 inches. It does not mean that every machine described as 5x7 provides exactly the same usable sewing area.

The Dancing Skeleton Gentleman and Skeleton’s Dance Moves must be rotated by 90 degrees before embroidery. Check the design position using the machine’s boundary-check function before starting.

Read the detailed guide to 5x7 hoop sizes and actual embroidery fields if your machine rejects files positioned close to the hoop limit.

None of the four designs fits a 100x100 mm or 4x4 embroidery field. A larger physical hoop does not increase the maximum field supported by a 4x4 machine.

Keep the original programmed sequence and do not use automatic color sorting. Several shades are repeated because the later blocks create overlapping details, highlights and final outlines.

Stitch totals printed on color-chart images may be rounded. Use the exact stitch counts listed in the size table when estimating embroidery time.

To select similar shades from another thread brand, use the free Madeira thread converter.

Halloween Project Ideas

  • four coordinated Halloween sweatshirts or hoodies;
  • a set of four gothic cushions;
  • Halloween placemats with one dancer on each place setting;
  • trick-or-treat and candy bags;
  • denim jackets and costume panels;
  • canvas tote bags and zipper pouches;
  • guest towels and kitchen towels;
  • quilt blocks and Halloween wall hangings;
  • fabric banners for a skeleton dance party;
  • matching handmade gifts for couples or families.

Because the characters are supplied as four separate files, they can be embroidered individually or arranged across several fabric panels. The repeated bone, green, orange and dark-gray shades keep the finished collection visually coordinated.

Fabric, Stabilizer and Needle

Material Recommendation
Sweatshirt or hoodie Use medium-weight cut-away or no-show mesh stabilizer. Hoop without stretching the knit. Add thin water-soluble topping when the surface is brushed or fleecy.
Canvas tote bag Use firm tear-away stabilizer for stable canvas or cut-away stabilizer for a frequently washed bag. Embroider the flat panel before assembly whenever possible.
Denim Use medium-weight cut-away stabilizer and an 80/12 or 90/14 needle selected according to the denim thickness.
Cotton or linen panel Use medium-weight tear-away stabilizer. Prewash fabric that may shrink and test the complete design before embroidering the finished project.
Terry towel Use supporting stabilizer underneath and thin water-soluble film on top so the bone details and outlines do not sink into the loops.

The designs contain between 21,528 and 33,616 stitches. Secure stabilization is important for keeping the small bone elements, clothing fills and dark outlines correctly registered.

For finished bags, read the guide to machine embroidery on shopping bags. The guide to preventing puckering in machine embroidery explains how fabric, hooping and stabilizer affect filled designs.

Individual Designs and Additional Sizes

This set contains one 5x7 size of each character. Larger separately digitized sizes are available in the individual products:

More coordinated motifs are available in the Halloween Machine Embroidery Designs and Skeleton and Tattoo Art Machine Embroidery Designs collections.

Can the Designs Be Resized?

The supplied DST, PES, JEF and other machine formats are finished stitch files calculated for the listed dimensions. They are not the editable source files used to create the designs.

Automatic resizing may change stitch density, stitch length, coverage and outline registration. Reducing these skeletons can make the narrow bone details too dense, while enlargement may create gaps and excessively long stitches.

Use the separately digitized sizes available in the individual products whenever possible. If another specific size is required, request the professional embroidery design resizing service.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many embroidery files are included?

The set contains four independent dancing skeleton designs, with one 5x7 size of each character.

Do all four designs fit a 5x7 hoop?

Yes, provided the machine offers a true 130x180 mm embroidery field. Dancing Skeleton Gentleman and Skeleton’s Dance Moves must be rotated by 90 degrees.

Does any design fit a 4x4 hoop?

No. All four files require more than 100 mm in both directions and cannot be stitched within a 100x100 mm embroidery field.

Can I change the thread colors?

Yes. Colors may be changed to coordinate with the fabric or Halloween palette, but keep the original sequence and repeated color blocks. Do not use automatic color sorting.

Is this a finished embroidered patch?

No. This product contains downloadable digital files for computerized embroidery machines. No finished item or physical material will be shipped.

How do I open the downloaded ZIP archive?

Save the ZIP archive to a computer, extract it and transfer only the format supported by your machine. If necessary, use the free Royal Present online unzip tool.

May I sell products embroidered with these designs?

Yes. Finished handmade products embroidered with the designs may be sold under the applicable commercial license. The digital files may not be copied, shared, exchanged, published, redistributed or resold.

License

The designs may be used for personal projects and small-scale commercial production of finished embroidered items. Industrial or factory production is not included in the standard license.

Copying, sharing, publishing, exchanging, distributing or reselling the digital embroidery files is prohibited.
