Eastern Floral Arch Monogram Frame Machine Embroidery Design combines an elongated Moroccan-style arch with turquoise and pale-blue scrolls, white flowers and bright golden accents. The open center is designed for a separately digitized initial or monogram. Four frame sizes and four matching sizes of the separate floral decor are included.

Use the frame for personalized towels, cushions, table linens, decorative panels and wedding textiles. The smaller decor file can be embroidered alone, repeated as a border accent or combined with the frame. This is a standard machine embroidery design stitched directly onto fabric; it is not appliqué, freestanding lace or an in-the-hoop construction project.

The gold letter B and the embroidery font shown in the product photographs are not included. The listing contains the blank frame and the separate floral decor. A suitable embroidery font must be purchased or supplied separately.

Eastern Blank Monogram Embroidery Video

  • four professionally digitized sizes of the blank floral arch frame;
  • four corresponding sizes of the separate floral decor;
  • the machine formats listed in the original technical block;
  • the programmed thread sequence for every supplied size.

Not included: the gold letter B, embroidery font, alphabet, embroidery software, fabric, stabilizer, thread or a finished physical product.

Hoop and Embroidery-Field Requirements

  • Smallest frame: fits a true 130x180 mm embroidery field, commonly called a 5x7 hoop. Its 128.7 mm side leaves very little clearance inside a 130 mm field.
  • Second frame: requires a usable field of at least 138.9x189.9 mm.
  • Third frame: requires a usable field of at least 150.1x205.0 mm; a nominal 150 mm field is not wide enough.
  • Largest frame: requires a usable field of at least 158.4x216.4 mm.
  • All four decor files: fit within a true 100x100 mm or 4x4 embroidery field.

Hoop names are rounded labels. Compare the exact design dimensions with the usable embroidery field stated in the machine manual or software, rotate the file when appropriate and run the machine trace function before stitching.

Original Madeira Polyneon 40 Colors for the Frame

The original frame charts for RPE-287 print four Madeira Polyneon No. 40 colors in five programmed blocks. Peacock Blue is repeated at the end, so the machine performs four thread changes although only four unique colors are used. The digital squares below were calculated from the central thread area of Madeira product photographs.

Block Color Madeira Polyneon 40 Embroidered section
1 1977 Peacock Blue deep blue-turquoise leaves, vines and strong scroll details
2 1932 Summer Sky pale blue leaves, the arch outline and secondary ornament
3 1802 Snow White white petals, buds and floral highlights
4 1937 Fluorescent Orange small bright golden-orange flower centers and accents
5 1977 Peacock Blue final deep-blue finishing details

Frame sequence: 1977 Peacock Blue → 1932 Summer Sky → 1802 Snow White → 1937 Fluorescent Orange → 1977 Peacock Blue.

Original Madeira Classic Rayon 40 Colors for the Decor

The separate decor charts use four Madeira Classic Rayon No. 40 shades in four blocks with three changes. This is a different printed thread library from the frame chart and must not be merged into one code list.

Block Color Madeira Classic Rayon 40 Embroidered section
1 1176 Navajo Blue dark blue-turquoise leaves and vine sections
2 1132 Clear Blue pale blue leaves, stems and secondary details
3 1004 Natural White white flowers and buds
4 1024 Gold Rush golden flower centers

Decor sequence: 1176 Navajo Blue → 1132 Clear Blue → 1004 Natural White → 1024 Gold Rush.

Fabric, Stabilizer and Needle

  • Stable cotton, linen or twill: use one layer of medium tear-away stabilizer. Add a second layer only if the test shows distortion around the tall arch.
  • Terry towels: use medium tear-away backing underneath and thin water-soluble topping over the loops. The topping keeps the narrow vines, petals and satin outlines from sinking into the pile.
  • Thin linen requiring a cleaner reverse: use a strong fabric-like wash-away backing when the finished item can be washed thoroughly.
  • Knits and stretch fabric: use soft permanent cut-away or no-show mesh; do not stretch the fabric in the hoop.
  • Items that cannot be hooped: hoop self-adhesive stabilizer, expose the adhesive area and place the textile without stretching it.
  • Needle: use a fresh 75/11 embroidery needle for stable woven fabric and an embroidery ballpoint needle for knits.

For towels with a visible reverse, matching the bobbin thread to the upper color can make the back less conspicuous, but it will not create an identical reversible image because tie-ins, travel paths and bobbin stitches remain visible. Medium tear-away backing is usually the most practical choice; after the excess is removed, the remaining fibers soften with laundering.

Best Fabric Colors and Thread Options

The original palette is strongest on navy, deep teal, black or burgundy fabric because the pale-blue ornament and white flowers remain clearly visible. On white or ivory fabric, Snow White and Natural White will disappear and the pale-blue sections will become subtle. Replace the white block with a deeper blue, turquoise or warm gold when stronger contrast is required.

For a formal wedding version, stitch the blue sections in ivory and use gold for the small accents and the separately added monogram. For frequently washed towels or robes, Polyneon polyester is the more durable choice. Classic Rayon provides a softer hand and high luster for decorative linens.

How to Add a Monogram

  1. Open the selected frame size and a properly digitized embroidery letter in compatible software or on the machine editing screen.
  2. Center the letter inside the blank arch and leave visible space between the letter and the satin outline.
  3. Check the total dimensions after combining the files; the complete composition must remain inside the usable embroidery field.
  4. Review the stitch order. Stitching the frame first and the separate letter last usually keeps the monogram visually crisp.
  5. Save the combined file in the machine format you use and test-stitch the complete composition.

An ordinary computer font is not an embroidery file. Use a professionally digitized alphabet from Machine Embroidery Fonts, Alphabets and Monograms.

How to Use the Separate Floral Decor

The included decor is an independent four-color floral cluster, not a placement step for assembling the large frame. Stitch it alone on napkin corners, hand towels, cuffs, sachets or small accessories, or repeat it around a larger textile after testing spacing and rotation in embroidery software.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the gold letter B included?

No. The download contains the blank floral arch frame and the separate decor. The letter and embroidery font shown in the photographs are examples only.

Does the frame fit a 4x4 hoop?

No. None of the four frame sizes fits a 100x100 mm field. All four separate decor files do fit a true 4x4 field.

Does the frame fit a 5x7 hoop?

Only the smallest frame fits a true 130x180 mm field. Check the exact usable area because its 128.7 mm width leaves little clearance inside a 130 mm field.

What is the separate decor file?

It is an independent small floral cluster supplied in four sizes. It can be embroidered alone or arranged with other elements; it is not a construction step for the large frame.

How many thread colors are used?

The frame uses four unique Polyneon colors in five programmed blocks. The decor uses four Classic Rayon colors in four programmed blocks.

Can I stitch the design in one color?

Yes. Keep the same thread installed and continue at every programmed stop. The machine will still pause because the original color-change commands remain in the file.

Is this an in-the-hoop project?

No. Both components are standard embroidery files stitched directly onto the project fabric.

Is a test stitch necessary?

Yes. The design contains narrow vines, small petals, satin outlines and multiple color alignments. Test the selected size with the same fabric, backing, topping, thread and needle planned for the final item.

This design has been tested and reviewed to ensure top quality. Test stitch the design, or portions of it, before stitching it onto your final item, as results may vary depending on fabric and stabilizer combination.

Please don't sell or trade the embroidery file.

Eastern Floral Arch Monogram Frame Machine Embroidery Design – 4 Sizes

I recently went to Marrakech and have been consumed with all things Moroccan since then. This design is very typical of Moroccan art. I love it!
