Moroccan Floral Wreath Monogram Machine Embroidery Design features a circular wreath of turquoise and pale blue leaves, white flowers and small golden centers. The open middle can hold a separately digitized initial, family monogram or short set of initials for personalized towels, table linens, pillows, wedding textiles and decorative fabric projects.

The wreath may also be embroidered without lettering as a complete floral medallion. This is a standard machine embroidery design stitched directly onto fabric. It is not appliqué, freestanding lace or an in-the-hoop construction project.

The gold letter B, embroidery font, small white crown, fabric and finished embroidered item shown in the product photographs are not included. The download contains the blank floral wreath only. The white crown beside the sample is a branding element, not part of the embroidery file.

What Is Included

5x7 Hoop Compatibility

The complete design requires a usable embroidery field of at least 124.5x119.8 mm (4.90x4.72 in). It fits a true 130x180 mm (5.12x7.09 in) embroidery field, commonly called a 5x7 hoop.

• 100x100 mm or 4x4: does not fit because both dimensions exceed the field.
• 120x120 mm: does not fit because the design is 124.5 mm wide.
• 130x180 mm or 5x7: fits, but the 124.5 mm side leaves only 5.5 mm of total clearance inside a true 130 mm field.
• 140x140 mm, 150x150 mm or larger: fits when the machine provides the complete stated field.

Commercial hoop names are rounded labels and do not guarantee an exact usable area. Check the field stated in the machine manual or software, rotate the design if necessary and use the machine trace function before stitching.

Original Madeira Classic Rayon 40 Color Chart

The original RPE-731 sequence contains four Madeira Classic Rayon No. 40 shades in four programmed blocks. The official shade names and current products were checked on the Madeira USA website. Each digital square was calculated programmatically from the central thread area of the official spool photograph.

Embroidery sequence: 1176 Navajo Blue → 1132 Clear Blue → 1004 Natural White → 1125 Saffron Yellow.

Important: a HEX square is a screen representation derived from an official thread photograph, not a replacement for a physical Madeira thread chart. Rayon sheen, lighting, dye lot and monitor settings change the visible color. Select and order thread by the Madeira number.

Stitch Count Note

The archival color-chart image in the product gallery shows the same RPE-731 palette and four-block sequence, but it prints 12.52x12.34 cm and 16,100 stitches. The active product listing and embroidery calculator currently publish 124.5x119.8 mm and 23,721 stitches. Use the stitch count shown by the purchased file in your embroidery software for the selected machine format when planning production time.

Best Fabric Colors

The original turquoise, pale blue, white and yellow palette was stitched on dark navy fabric. Navy, black, deep teal and burgundy provide enough contrast for all four blocks, including the white flowers and pale Clear Blue leaves.

On white or ivory fabric, Madeira 1004 Natural White will almost disappear and 1132 Clear Blue will become subtle. For a clearly visible light-fabric version, replace block 3 with a darker blue, turquoise or soft gold. Do not simply skip block 3: the white areas are stitched petals and highlights, not empty background.

For a wedding version, stitch all four programmed blocks in white, ivory or pale champagne and add a separately digitized monogram in gold. The machine may still stop three times because the original color-change commands remain in the file; leave the same thread installed and continue.

Metallic Thread Option

The safest metallic substitution is block 4. Replace Saffron Yellow 1125 with Madeira FS Metallic 40 985-4002 Gold 2 for the small flower centers, or use metallic thread only for the separately added monogram.

Use a metallic 90/14 needle, reduce embroidery speed to approximately 350–450 stitches per minute and test the complete combination first. Keep the long leaves, fine vines and flower petals in regular rayon or polyester unless a full metallic test stitches cleanly.

Fabric, Stabilizer and Needle

• Stable cotton, linen or twill: one layer of medium tear-away stabilizer around 50 g/m².
• Thin linen requiring a clean reverse: a strong fabric-like wash-away backing, provided the finished item can be washed.
• Terry towels, velvet and pile fabric: suitable backing underneath plus thin water-soluble topping above the pile.
• Jersey, knitwear and stretch fabric: soft no-show mesh or another permanent cut-away stabilizer; do not stretch the textile in the hoop.
• Items that cannot be hooped: hoop self-adhesive Madeira Cotton Fix, expose the adhesive area and place the textile without stretching it.
• Needle for woven fabric: fresh embroidery needle 75/11.
• Needle for knitwear: embroidery ballpoint 75/11.

The wreath contains satin-stitched leaves, small petals and a nearly circular composition. Uneven hoop tension or weak stabilization can pull the wreath out of round and shift the white flower sections away from the blue leaves.

How to Add a Letter or Monogram

1. Open the wreath and a properly digitized machine embroidery font in compatible editing software.
2. Place the letter, initials or short monogram in the open center.
3. Leave visible space between the lettering and the innermost leaves and flowers.
4. Review the complete dimensions after combining the files. The final composition must still fit the usable hoop field.
5. Check the stitch order. Stitching the wreath first and the separate monogram last usually keeps the lettering visually crisp.
6. Save the combined design in the format supported by the machine and test the entire composition before stitching the final item.

No. The design measures 124.5x119.8 mm, so both dimensions exceed a 100x100 mm embroidery field.

Does it fit a 5x7 hoop?

Yes, if the machine provides a true usable field of at least 124.5x119.8 mm. A standard 130x180 mm field is sufficient, but verify the actual limits because the 124.5 mm side leaves only a small margin inside 130 mm.

Is the gold letter B included?

No. The download contains the blank floral wreath only. The letter demonstrates how a separately digitized embroidery font may be placed in the center.

Is the small white crown included?

No. The crown beside the embroidered sample is a branding element in the photograph, not part of the embroidery file.

Can I embroider the wreath without a monogram?

Yes. The supplied file is complete and can be stitched as a standalone floral wreath or medallion.

How many thread colors are used?

Four colors in four programmed blocks with three changes: Madeira Classic Rayon 1176, 1132, 1004 and 1125.

Can I stitch the complete wreath in one color?

Yes. Leave the same thread installed through all four blocks. The machine may still pause three times because the original color-change commands remain programmed.

Can I embroider it on a terry towel?

Yes. Use suitable backing beneath the towel and thin water-soluble topping over the pile so the small petals, fine vines and satin leaves do not sink between the terry loops.

Why does the gallery chart show a different stitch count?

The archival chart displays 16,100 stitches, while the active listing and calculator display 23,721. Check the exact count shown by the purchased machine file in embroidery software when estimating production time.

Can I resize the design?

Use the original supplied size whenever possible. Resizing can change satin-stitch width, density, pull compensation, small flower details and alignment between the blue and white sections.

Is a test stitch necessary?

Yes. Test the complete wreath and any added lettering on the same fabric, stabilizer, topping, thread and needle planned for the finished item.
