The published design size is 97.8x97.8 mm (3.85x3.85 "), so the frame fits a true 100x100 mm embroidery field. The remaining margin is narrow: 2.2 mm across the full width and height, or approximately 1.1 mm on each side when perfectly centered. Check the file dimensions on the machine screen before stitching and do not move the design away from the hoop center.

Mark both the horizontal and vertical center lines on the fabric. Hoop woven fabric on grain, align the marks with the hoop template and use a basting box if the machine offers one. A small diagonal shift is visible immediately because the frame is almost as wide as the available field.

How to add a monogram without shifting the frame

1. Measure the open center in embroidery software. Use the actual free space inside the curled cord, not the overall 97.8 mm frame size.
2. Choose the letter after measuring. Font height alone does not show the true width, side bearings or decorative swashes.
3. Center the letter and frame to the same origin. Import both files into one 100x100 mm workspace and check the combined bounding box before saving.
4. Keep the fabric hooped. If the machine cannot combine designs, stitch the frame and then select the separate letter without removing or rotating the hoop.
5. Check clearance at the widest points. The letter must not touch the cord or bulb bases, even if its top and bottom appear to fit.

Visible color palette

The public product page does not publish Madeira numbers or the programmed color-block order. The table below records the four color roles visible in the stitched sample; it is a visual palette, not a substitute for the color sequence read by the embroidery machine.

Use 40-weight polyester for napkins, towels, stockings and gift bags that will be washed or handled frequently. Rayon No. 40 gives a softer sheen on decorative cushions and framed panels. Keep the machine’s programmed stop order; do not merge repeated colors automatically unless the stitch path has been checked in embroidery software.

For a sparkling cable, test a smooth 40-weight metallic or polyester sparkle thread only in the black cord blocks. Use a Metallic 90/14 needle, reduce the machine speed and keep the thread path straight. Flat ribbon-style metallic thread is less forgiving in the design’s many tight curls.

Tips for a round frame and a clean monogram

• Do not stretch the fabric to remove wrinkles. A stretched square returns to shape after unhooping and can pull the light ring into an oval.
• Test the black cord on the final fabric color. It provides the visual structure; if it disappears into navy, black or deep green cloth, replace it with a contrasting shade.
• Match thread behavior. If the separate letter is dense satin, use the same thread type and compatible tension so it does not look heavier than the frame.
• Keep topping away from the hoop edge. The file nearly fills a 100x100 mm field, so loose topping must not fold under the presser foot.
• Check the center before stitching. The blank area may look larger on screen than it is once the curled cable and bulb bases are embroidered.
• Press from the reverse. Place the finished embroidery face down on a soft towel so the filled bulbs are not flattened.
