Choose stabilizer according to your fabric. For stable woven linen or cotton, use a light or medium tear-away stabilizer. For stretchy fabric, robes, knits or soft textiles that may move during embroidery, use cut-away stabilizer.
If you embroider this frame on terry towels, velvet, velour, fleece or other textured fabric, add water-soluble topping on top of the fabric. This helps keep the small decorative details clean and prevents the stitches from sinking into the pile.
For monogram projects, make a test stitch before embroidering on the final item. The letter or initials should sit inside the frame with enough space around them, without touching the bow or oval border.

This vintage frame with bow looks beautiful in classic white, ivory, champagne, dusty rose, gold, silver, beige or tone-on-tone embroidery. For wedding and christening textiles, soft white or ivory thread on linen gives a clean traditional look. For romantic gifts, blush pink, champagne or light gold thread creates a softer luxury effect.
Tone-on-tone embroidery is especially elegant on towels, linen napkins, pillow covers and fabric gift bags. A contrast thread color can make the frame more visible, while matching thread creates a subtle embossed effect.
