Vintage Oval Frame Machine Embroidery Design is an elegant decorative frame for small monogram embroidery projects. The design has a delicate vintage shape and works beautifully for initials, letters, short monograms and personalized textile gifts.
This oval frame is perfect for robe pockets, guest towels, linen napkins, sachet bags, cosmetic bags, christening towels, wedding textiles, pillow corners and refined home decor projects.
The compact size makes it suitable for small luxury embroidery where a large monogram would look too heavy. It is especially beautiful when stitched tone-on-tone on linen, velvet, velour, cotton or soft pastel fabric.
This design includes the decorative oval frame only. Letter, monogram or font is not included. You can add a letter using your embroidery machine fonts or embroidery software.
For the best result, choose stabilizer according to your fabric. Use tear-away stabilizer for stable woven cotton or linen. Use cut-away stabilizer for robes, knits, velour or fabrics that may stretch.
If you embroider this frame on terry towels, velvet, velour or other textured fabric, add water-soluble topping on top of the fabric. This helps keep the small details clean and prevents stitches from sinking into the pile.
Before stitching on the final item, make a test stitch on similar fabric with the same stabilizer and thread. This is especially important for monogram projects because the letter must sit neatly inside the frame.
This vintage oval frame looks beautiful in classic white on linen, blush pink on pastel fabric, beige on natural linen, gold on dark fabric or tone-on-tone embroidery for a luxury subtle effect.
For wedding and christening projects, soft white, ivory, champagne, dusty rose and light gold thread colors work especially well.
For terry towels, use a tear-away stabilizer underneath and a water-soluble topping to prevent the stitches from sinking into the fabric.
Stabilizer formula: Fabric weight ÷ 3 = stabilizer weight Example: for a 450 g/m² towel, choose a stabilizer around 150 g/m².
