Tiny Pepper Machine Embroidery Design is a digital embroidery file for computerized embroidery machines. It depicts one small red pepper with a green calyx and stem. The motif is digitized in satin-stitch technique without a separate outline and is supplied in two original sizes for compact kitchen, garden and harvest-themed textile projects; no physical embroidered item is shipped.

Size: 47.7x64.2mm (1.88x2.53"), Stitches: 4196
Size: 52.5x70.6mm (2.07x2.78"), Stitches: 4805

Formats: .dst, .jef, .pec, .vip, .hus, .pes, .exp, .sew, .dat, .vp3, xxx

What the design contains

  • One separate red sweet pepper motif with a green calyx and short curved stem.
  • Satin-stitched red and green sections that form the motif without a separate contour.
  • Two original machine embroidery files sized for small placement areas.

Exact design size and suitable hoop

Original file size Stitches Suitable embroidery field
47.7x64.2mm (1.88x2.53") 4196 80x80 mm (3.15x3.15 in) or larger
52.5x70.6mm (2.07x2.78") 4805 80x80 mm (3.15x3.15 in) or larger

Both files fit an 80x80 mm (3.15x3.15 in) embroidery field. A standard 100x100 mm (3.94x3.94 in), commonly called a 4x4 hoop, also accommodates both original files.

Fabric, stabilizer and needle

Fabric or item Stabilizer Practical setup
Medium cotton or linen Medium-weight tear-away Use a new 75/11 embroidery needle and hoop the fabric without stretching the grain.
Lightweight cotton Medium tear-away; add a second light layer if the sample puckers Test the complete motif because the compact satin stitches need stable support and clean edges.
Canvas, twill or apron fabric Strong medium tear-away Embroider a flat pocket or front panel before assembly and keep construction seams outside the stitch area.
Terry kitchen towel Tear-away underneath and thin water-soluble topping above Choose a smooth woven towel band when possible so the small calyx and satin-stitched edges remain clear.
Knit garment Medium cut-away Use a 75/11 ballpoint embroidery needle and do not stretch the garment during preparation.

A stable, smooth fabric helps the satin stitches keep clean edges. For frequently washed kitchen towels and aprons, use quality 40-weight polyester thread; rayon gives decorative napkins a softer sheen. Start near 500–650 stitches per minute and slow down if the satin surface becomes uneven. For additional setup guidance, read about stitch density, fabric and stabilizer balance.

Placement and project ideas

  • Place the smaller file on a cocktail napkin, fabric label or narrow woven towel band.
  • Use one pepper near a lower corner of a tea towel so the motif stays visible when the towel is folded or hanging.
  • Embroider the flat pocket piece before attaching it to an apron.
  • Repeat the pepper on reusable produce bags, bread-basket liners or recipe-book covers.
  • Repeat the same pepper at equal intervals on napkins, placemats or a table runner to create a coordinated textile set.

Stitching tips for this small satin-stitch pepper

  1. Print the selected size at 100% and check the complete placement with a paper template.
  2. Support the entire stitch area so the satin sections remain smooth and the edges keep their intended shape.
  3. Keep the fabric grain straight and avoid a heavy hem, pocket edge or seam allowance inside the embroidery field.
  4. Test the red and green threads against the chosen fabric and check that both colors remain clearly visible.
  5. Run the machine trace function after loading the file, especially on a finished napkin or a narrow towel band.

Frequently asked questions

Do both files fit an 80x80 mm embroidery field?

Yes. The larger file is 52.5x70.6mm, so both original sizes fit an 80x80 mm (3.15x3.15 in) embroidery field.

Does this design fit a standard 4x4 hoop?

Yes. A 100x100 mm (3.94x3.94 in) or standard 4x4 hoop accommodates both listed files.

Is this a sweet pepper or a chili pepper?

The motif depicts a compact red sweet pepper with a rounded body, curved shading and a green calyx. It is not a long chili or cayenne pepper.

Does the pepper have a separate outline?

No. The pepper is formed by satin-stitched color sections and does not use a separate outlining border.

Can the pepper be embroidered on a terry kitchen towel?

Yes. Use suitable backing underneath and thin water-soluble topping over the pile. A smooth woven towel band gives the clearest result for the small calyx and satin-stitched edges.
