Autumn Bunny with Acorn is a digital machine embroidery design for a sweatshirt, children’s hoodie, tote bag, pocket, treat bag or decorative cushion cover. The scene shows a bunny wearing an acorn-cap hat and carrying a large acorn, with a smaller acorn, an oak leaf and grass on the ground. The download includes 8 separately digitized files, from 83.0x90.5 mm (3.27x3.56 ") to 158.0x171.7 mm (6.22x6.76 ").
The files are made for an embroidery machine. Before stitching, print the selected file at 100% scale and check the full silhouette: the large acorn extends to the left of the bunny and the oak leaf extends to the right.

Frequently asked questions
Which stabilizer should I choose for a sweatshirt or another knit?
Use a soft cut-away stabilizer for sweatshirts, fleece and any fabric that stretches. Leave it behind the embroidery so it continues to support the dense acorn fills and the outlines after washing. For stable cotton, twill or canvas, a firm tear-away stabilizer is suitable. If the fabric is loose or you choose one of the larger files, test a stronger support first: the weight and stretch of the base fabric matter more than the design size alone.
How should I hoop the design so the dark outline stays in register?
Hoop the fabric and stabilizer together so they lie flat without wrinkles, but do not stretch the fabric. Over-tight hooping can cause puckering after removal; loose hooping allows layers to shift. Centre the whole silhouette, including the acorn on the left and the oak leaf on the right. Run the machine’s trace function around the outer edge before stitching.
When is temporary spray adhesive useful?
Use a light temporary spray when the item is hard to hoop without leaving a mark, or when a slippery or stretchy fabric tends to move. Spray the stabilizer, not the garment’s right side, join the layers and add a basting box. Adhesive keeps the layers from shifting; it does not replace proper backing.
How can I prevent puckering around the large acorn and pale muzzle?
Stitch a test on the same fabric with the same stabilizer and selected size. Prewash or steam-shrink linen and cotton if they may shrink. During stitching, support the free weight of a large garment panel or bag piece so it cannot pull on the hoop. Remove the hoop promptly at the end and tear the backing away only from open areas, not by pulling it from beneath the outlines.
