Machine embroidery on natural fabrics

Embroidery on such natural fabrics as flax, hemp fabric, cotton or canvas has its subtleties.

For example, for embroidery on loose linen fabric, it is recommended to use a special spray, for example, Stop Fraying or Fray Check.

When applying embroidery on hemp base, pay attention to the correct choice of stabilizer. For light and thin tissue, use a cut-away stabilizer. For dense, just use tear-away one. Naturally, such a choice is conditional, and you yourself choose the appropriate option.

Try to test the embroidery technology you have chosen on the sample. And only then embroider on the necessary basis.

When embroidering on cotton fabric, do not forget about prewashing. Since this fabric has a high coefficient of shrinkage.

Machine embroidery on a canvas is simple. Yet this fabric is not designed specifically for embroidery. So it is necessary to ensure reliable stabilization. It is preferable to choose a medium-weight cut-away stabilizer and temporary spray adhesive.
