Moleskin is widely used for sewing outerwear, bags and other accessories. Its soft surface and density makes this fabric an ideal base for embroidery. It is like a canvas for an artist, allows you to embody all the extraordinary ideas.

Previously, moleskin was produced only from a cotton base. Now you can buy this fabric and on a polyester basis. Cotton moleskin is a woven material with an average type of pile. While the polyester type has a low pile. This makes such a moleskin fabric very similar in appearance to a suede fabric.

Some moleskin fabric has a small percentage of nylon or lycra. So it gives some elasticity. Previously, this fabric was available only in brown shades. Now you can buy any color that you like.

Consider the main features of machine embroidery on moleskin fabric.

Before embroidering, it is recommended to wash the fabric or product. Carefully read at what temperature and in what mode it can be done.

Use only a cut-away stabilizer. It copes better with its task, rather than tear-away or water-soluble. This kind of fabric can be hooped like all other types. Sprinkle the cut-away stabilizer, glue it to the wrong side of the fabric. Then hopped the fabric with the "polished" side up.

Since this fabric is on a synthetic basis, you do not have to worry about the depressed marks after the tissue is unhooped.

For embroidery on the fabric of moleskin, needle #75/11 is best suited. If not, you can use a usual embroidery needle.
