Madeira 1115 is a suggested match for the photographed colorway, not the number printed on the original RPE-883-03 chart. Compare the spool against the final fabric and make a complete test stitch before embroidering an heirloom garment.

Stabilizing Satin, Linen and Towels

• Woven satin or sateen: use a soft lightweight cut-away or no-show mesh stabilizer. Hoop without stretching and protect the glossy face from hoop marks with clean tissue or a hoop guard.
• Silk satin or very delicate ceremonial fabric: test a wash-away stabilizer or fine no-show mesh on a sample from the same fabric. Confirm that water, pressing and stabilizer removal are safe for the textile.
• Linen baptism towel: use lightweight tear-away when the weave is stable. If the reverse must remain especially clean, test a wash-away backing.
