Stage one. At this stage you need to prepare a fabric for embroidery. If it is on a cotton basis, wash and dry the product. Otherwise, the fabric can shrink together with embroidery.

Stage two. Stabilization. Choose the right stabilizer. For the Richelieu technique it is necessary to use a water-soluble stabilizer. So that after embroidery you can easily dissolve it in water.

Stage three. Preparation of materials. At this stage, the threads and the type of needle are selected. We recommend using the lower thread in the upper tone. So your wrong side will be more accurate.

Stage four. Embroidery of the contour. After you have hooped the fabric, and start embroidering, the machine embroiders the contour. It will designate the future slots. After that, machine will stop. You need to cut out the slots. It is important not to damage the stabilizer. For this, take sharp scissors. In the handicraft shops even special scissors for Richelieu are sold.

Stage five. Embroidery design completely. Machine embroider this unique design.

Stage six. Removal of the stabilizer. Dissolve the stabilizer by placing the product in a container with warm water. Dry the product. Trim excess strings, if there are any.
