How to embroider this design

1. Choose the right stabilizer

For linen, cotton and table textiles, use a medium-weight tear-away stabilizer. If the fabric is thin, soft or unstable, use cut-away stabilizer to prevent distortion after washing.

2. Hoop the fabric firmly

Hoop the fabric together with stabilizer. The fabric must be flat and smooth, but not stretched. Overstretching can cause puckering after the embroidery is removed from the hoop.

3. Use water-soluble topping for textured fabric

If you embroider this design on terry towels, waffle fabric or textured cotton, place water-soluble topping on top of the fabric before stitching. This prevents stitches from sinking into the texture and keeps the baroque details clean.

4. Test the thread colors first

The design includes golden scrollwork and colorful leaves, so thread choice changes the final look. For a classic style, use metallic-looking gold polyester or rayon thread. For a softer home decor look, use warm yellow-gold thread instead of metallic thread.

5. Do not reduce very detailed embroidery too much

Baroque scrolls and leaf details need enough space to stitch cleanly. If you need a smaller size, test it first. Too much resizing can make satin stitches too narrow, outlines too dense or small details less readable.

6. Press from the wrong side

After stitching, remove the stabilizer carefully. Press the finished textile from the wrong side on a soft towel. This keeps the embroidery relief beautiful and prevents flattening the stitches.
