Winter Elements Machine Embroidery Designs is a digital embroidery set with two festive winter bouquet motifs, each supplied in three sizes. The designs combine classic Christmas greenery, holly leaves, mistletoe-style foliage, poinsettias, red berries, cranberries, rowan berries and pinecones. Use them for towels, napkins, table runners, pillows, kitchen textiles, aprons, potholders, doilies, wall panels and handmade holiday gifts.

This set is useful when you want coordinated Christmas embroidery without repeating one exact motif everywhere. Use one bouquet on napkins or towels and the second bouquet on a pillow, runner or gift textile. The botanical style makes the designs suitable for rustic Christmas décor, traditional holiday interiors, farmhouse textiles and elegant winter table settings.

Best Uses for These Winter Elements

These winter bouquet designs work best on medium and larger Christmas textiles where the botanical details have enough space to show clearly. Use the smaller versions for towels, napkins and kitchen items, and the larger versions for pillows, table runners, placemats, wall hangings and decorative panels.

  • Christmas kitchen towels and waffle towels;
  • linen napkins and festive table settings;
  • table runners, placemats and doilies;
  • decorative pillows and cushion covers;
  • aprons, potholders and kitchen textiles;
  • holiday wall panels and framed fabric art;
  • handmade Christmas gifts and seasonal home décor.

Hoop Size and Placement Tips

This is not a 4x4 hoop set. The designs are better suited for larger embroidery fields. The smallest Bouquet 1 size is 93.0x132.5 mm / 3.66x5.22 inches and may fit some 100x170 mm / 4x6.69 inch hoops, but the other sizes require more space. A 130x180 mm / 5x7 inch hoop or larger is the safer choice for most versions.

Before stitching, check the real embroidery field of your machine, not only the hoop name. For towels and napkins, mark the placement line before hooping. For pillows and runners, decide whether the bouquet will be centered, placed in a corner or repeated as a pair. Botanical designs look best when there is enough empty fabric around them.

Fabric and Stabilizer Recommendations

For cotton, linen, gabardine and stable woven fabrics, use a medium tear-away or lightweight cutaway stabilizer. For table linens, napkins and towels that will be washed often, lightweight cutaway stabilizer gives better long-term support and helps reduce puckering around the dense floral and berry areas.

For waffle towels, terry towels, velvet, fleece or textured kitchen textiles, place a water-soluble topper on the front. This keeps the poinsettia petals, berries, pinecones and fine greenery details from sinking into the fabric surface. If the item is already sewn or difficult to hoop, hoop the stabilizer first and float the fabric on top with basting stitches.

Thread and Color Tips

Classic Christmas colors work very well for this set: deep green for holly and foliage, ruby red or burgundy for berries and poinsettias, brown for pinecones, and silver-gray, cream or soft sage for winter accents. On white, cream and natural linen, the designs look clean and traditional. On dark fabric, choose brighter reds and greens so the botanical details remain visible.

Metallic thread can be used for small highlights, but it is better not to replace all light accents with metallic thread. Use a metallic needle, reduce machine speed and test the design first. Floral and berry designs can include many small details, so stable tension is more important than extra shine.

How to Build a Coordinated Christmas Textile Set

Use the two bouquet motifs as companion elements. For example, stitch Bouquet 1 on napkins and Bouquet 2 on a table runner, or use one design on kitchen towels and the other on a matching apron. This creates a coordinated collection without making every item identical.

For a larger room set, use one bouquet on decorative pillows, another on guest towels, and add borders or smaller holly motifs on table linens. Keep the same thread palette across all pieces so the final décor looks intentional.

Matching Designs and Categories

These winter bouquet motifs pair well with holly borders, poinsettia flowers, pinecone designs, Christmas wreaths and other botanical holiday embroidery files. Use them to build a full Christmas table, kitchen or living room collection.

A practical set idea: stitch one bouquet on a pair of kitchen towels, use the second bouquet on an apron pocket, and add a holly border to a table runner. This gives the kitchen and table one shared Christmas theme without visual repetition.

Notes Before You Stitch

Before purchase, check that your embroidery machine supports the included file format and that the selected size fits your real hoop field. Before stitching on a final towel, napkin, pillow or table runner, make a test stitch on the same fabric, stabilizer, needle and thread combination.

Embroidery results depend on fabric stability, stabilizer choice, hooping method, needle condition, thread quality and stitch density. Testing first helps prevent puckering, thread breaks, poor registration and loss of detail in the berries, petals, pinecones and fine greenery.

FAQ

What is included in this Winter Elements set?

You receive a digital machine embroidery design set with two winter bouquet motifs. Each motif is included in three sizes.

Is this a physical product?

No. This is a digital embroidery file set for embroidery machines. No finished towel, napkin, pillow, table runner or physical item will be shipped.

What sizes are included for Bouquet 1?

Bouquet 1 includes 93.0x132.5 mm / 3.66x5.22 inches, 102.2x145.7 mm / 4.02x5.74 inches and 112.4x160.3 mm / 4.43x6.31 inches.

What sizes are included for Bouquet 2?

Bouquet 2 includes 125.0x96.0 mm / 4.92x3.78 inches, 105.5x137.5 mm / 4.15x5.41 inches and 116.0x151.2 mm / 4.57x5.95 inches.

Will these designs fit a 4x4 hoop?

No. These designs are larger than a 4x4 hoop field. Check your machine’s usable embroidery area before stitching.

What hoop size is recommended?

A 130x180 mm / 5x7 inch hoop or larger is recommended for most sizes. The smallest Bouquet 1 version may fit some 100x170 mm hoops, but always check your actual embroidery field.

What can I make with these designs?

Use them for Christmas towels, napkins, table runners, pillows, aprons, potholders, doilies, wall panels and handmade holiday gifts.

What stabilizer should I use?

Use medium tear-away or lightweight cutaway stabilizer for stable cotton and linen. Use cutaway for frequently washed items and a water-soluble topper on textured fabrics.

Can I stitch these designs on towels?

Yes. Use stabilizer underneath and a water-soluble topper on top so the berries, pinecones and floral details stay visible on the towel surface.

Can I use metallic thread?

Yes, but use it only for small highlights. Test metallic thread first with a metallic needle and slower machine speed.

Do I need to resize the designs?

No resizing is needed because each bouquet is already supplied in three sizes. Choose the size that best fits your hoop and project.

Can I sell finished items made with this design?

Check Royal Present Embroidery usage terms before selling finished embroidered products. The digital files themselves must not be copied, shared, exchanged or resold.
