Golden Palace Floral Ornament Machine Embroidery Design is an elegant two-color composition inspired by palace interiors, decorative metalwork and classical floral scrollwork. Symmetrical flowers, leaves and sweeping curls create a finished central ornament rather than a continuously repeating border.

The design is supplied in three sizes. Choose the compact version for guest towels, napkins and cosmetic bags, or use one of the larger versions as a statement decoration on bed linen, table textiles, clothing and interior accessories.

This product contains digital machine embroidery files. Fabric, thread, stabilizer and finished products are not included.

  • number of sizes: 3;
  • programmed colors: 2;
  • smallest required hoop: 130×180 mm for the smallest size;
  • product type: digital machine embroidery files.

Always compare the listed dimensions with the actual embroidery field of your machine. The medium and large files require a hoop with an embroidery field of at least 160×260 mm.

Three Madeira Thread Colorways

The design contains two programmed color blocks. The contrast may be strong or subtle depending on the chosen fabric and thread combination.

Colorway Color 1 Color 2 Recommended effect
Noble Gold and Nickel
Madeira Classic Rayon No. 40
1225 Liquid Gold
Madeira Classic Rayon No. 40
1011 Chrome Gray
A soft, lustrous combination resembling warm gold and polished nickel. Recommended for towels, bathrobes, table linen and projects that require shine without metallic thread.
White Gold and Silver
Madeira FS Metallic No. 40
4022 White Gold
Madeira FS Metallic No. 40
4010 Silver
A cool metallic combination without bright yellow gold. Particularly effective on white, charcoal, dusty blue, black and deep navy fabrics.
Old White and Silver
Madeira Classic Rayon No. 40
1003 Creme White
Madeira FS Metallic No. 40
4010 Silver
A refined old-white ornament with restrained silver highlights. Ideal for wedding textiles, ivory dresses, elegant cosmetic bags and neutral interiors.

The color squares provide an approximate screen representation. Metallic reflections cannot be reproduced accurately on a monitor, so choose thread by the Madeira product number and check it against the actual fabric.

Where to Use the Floral Ornament

  • Towels: embroider the small size on a wide, smooth woven towel band;
  • napkins: place the small ornament centrally and fold the napkin into a square presentation shape;
  • dress cuffs: use the small version on a wide decorative cuff;
  • dress or robe belts: place the motif in the visible central section of a wide structured belt;
  • bathrobes: embroider the small version on an oversized patch pocket or across a wide cuff;
  • cosmetic bags: use the small design on a large flat front panel before assembling the bag;
  • bed linen: use the large horizontal version on pillowcases, duvet covers or decorative bed panels;
  • table textiles: decorate runners, placemats, serving cloths and the ends of a tablecloth;
  • decorative pillows: use the large version as the principal central ornament.

The smallest design is still 172.2 mm long. Measure pockets, cosmetic-bag panels and cuffs before embroidering. It will not fit a standard small bathrobe pocket or a narrow garment cuff.

Embroidery on Towels

For a towel, place the design on a smooth woven band whenever possible. The small 76.0×172.2 mm version requires a decorative band wide enough to accommodate the complete design plus a safe margin around it.

Use a stable tear-away or water-soluble fabric-like backing under the towel. If the stitches touch terry loops, place a thin water-soluble film on top to prevent narrow details from sinking into the pile.

Hoop the towel and stabilizer together without stretching the decorative band. If the towel is too thick to hoop securely, hoop the stabilizer, float the towel on top and add a basting box around the embroidery area.

Embroidery on Clothing

Embroider dress cuffs, belts and bathrobe pockets before assembling them whenever possible. This makes accurate centering easier and prevents seams or pocket layers from interfering with the hoop.

For woven linen, satin or dense cotton, use a medium tear-away stabilizer. For knit garments or fabrics with stretch, use a suitable cut-away stabilizer and a ballpoint embroidery needle. Do not stretch knitted fabric while hooping.

For a belt, add suitable interfacing before embroidery so the finished ornament remains flat when the belt is worn. The motif should be placed on the visible front section rather than directly beneath a buckle or fastening.

Embroidery on a Cosmetic Bag

Embroider the flat outer panel before installing the zipper and assembling the bag. The smallest design requires a front panel larger than 76.0×172.2 mm, with additional space for seams and the zipper.

Use medium cut-away stabilizer for soft or loosely woven fabric. For firm linen, faux suede or upholstery fabric, a stable tear-away backing may be sufficient. Test the complete two-color sequence on a fabric offcut first.

Working with Madeira Metallic Thread

  • use a metallic embroidery needle, normally 90/14;
  • reduce the embroidery speed to approximately 400–500 stitches per minute;
  • slightly reduce the upper-thread tension if required;
  • place the spool on a separate thread stand to create a longer thread path;
  • make sure the thread feeds freely and does not catch around the spool;
  • use quality bobbin thread and a freshly wound or prewound bobbin;
  • test the complete design on matching fabric before embroidering the final item.

For the Classic Rayon colorway, use a new 75/11 embroidery needle and embroider at the normal speed appropriate for the fabric and machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many colors does the design contain?

The design contains two programmed color blocks. The colors shown on the machine screen may be replaced with any two compatible embroidery threads.

Is this a continuous border design?

No. It is a complete, symmetrical floral ornament with a defined center and finished ends. It is intended as a central accent rather than an endless repeating border.

Does the smallest size fit a 5×7 hoop?

Yes. The smallest version measures 76.0×172.2 mm and fits a true 130×180 mm embroidery field.

Do all three sizes fit a 5×7 hoop?

No. The medium and large versions require a larger embroidery field, such as 160×260 mm.

Can the ornament be embroidered on a bathrobe pocket?

Only if the pocket is sufficiently large. The smallest version is 172.2 mm long, so it will not fit an ordinary small pocket. Measure the usable flat area before selecting the design.

Can I combine rayon and metallic thread?

Yes. The Creme White and Silver colorway combines Madeira Classic Rayon with Madeira FS Metallic. Change the needle and machine settings when the metallic color begins if your machine or fabric requires it.

Can the design be resized?

The included PES, DST, JEF and other formats are finished stitch files, not editable source files. Automatic resizing can change stitch density, stitch length and registration. If another exact size is required, use the professional embroidery design resizing service.

May I sell products embroidered with this design?

Yes. Finished handmade and small-batch products may be sold under the applicable license. The digital files may not be copied, shared, published, exchanged, redistributed or resold.

License

The design may be used for personal projects and small-scale commercial production of finished embroidered products. Industrial mass production is not included in the standard license.

Copying, sharing, publishing, exchanging, distributing or reselling the digital embroidery files is prohibited.
