Because the composition has a strong vertical direction, print or open a full-size template before embroidering a garment. Check the position in relation to the collar, back yoke, central seam and lower edge. Make sure the attached hoop can move freely without touching seams, buttons, zippers or other hardware.

Fabric and stabilizer recommendations

For stable woven cotton, linen, gabardine or canvas used for wall art, hoop the fabric together with a suitable medium-weight stabilizer. Loosely woven or lightweight linen may require a soft cut-away or fusible stabilizer to prevent distortion around detailed areas.

Use a cut-away stabilizer for denim jackets, bags, cushion covers, garments and other projects that will be handled or washed regularly. The stabilizer should support the complete embroidered area without making the finished textile unnecessarily rigid.

• align the fabric grain with the vertical axis of the design;
• use a new embroidery needle appropriate for the fabric;
• check the complete hoop path before starting the machine;
• test the design on the same fabric and stabilizer combination first.

Changing the thread colors

The peacock can also be embroidered in turquoise, emerald, deep blue and gold or adapted to match a particular room or garment. When creating a new palette, preserve the difference between light, medium and dark values. These tonal contrasts define the bird, flowers, leaves and individual feather details.

Do not automatically merge repeated color blocks simply because they appear to use the same thread. A repeated color may be separated intentionally to maintain the correct stitching sequence and prevent later elements from being covered.

Metallic thread can be used for selected golden accents. Use a metallic embroidery needle, allow the thread to unwind freely and reduce the machine speed to approximately 400–500 stitches per minute. Test the chosen metallic thread before using it throughout the final project.

Frequently asked questions

Does the design fit a 130 × 180 mm hoop?

Yes. The smallest file measures 129.3x174.7 mm. However, the machine must provide an actual embroidery field of at least 129.3 × 174.7 mm. Check the usable field stated in your machine manual.

Which file fits a 200 × 260 mm embroidery field?

The medium file measuring 176.5x238.9 mm fits. The largest file is 263.7 mm high and therefore does not fit within a 200 × 260 mm field.

Can I embroider the peacock on a denim jacket?

Yes. Use a cut-away stabilizer, position the design with a full-size template and verify that the hoop can move freely around the jacket seams and hardware.

Must I use the colors shown in the product images?

No. You may create your own palette while preserving the contrast between light, medium and dark shades. Keep the original color-block order unless you have checked the design carefully in embroidery software.

Can the design be reduced?

Significant automatic reduction is not recommended because it changes stitch density, stitch length and the quality of small details. Use one of the three professionally prepared sizes or order the design resizing service for a different exact size.

Is this a finished embroidered patch?

No. This product contains digital files for an embroidery machine. A finished patch or embroidered textile is not included.

Can I sell products embroidered with this design?

Yes. You may sell finished items made by a small craft business. Industrial mass production and the copying, sharing, publishing, distributing or reselling of the digital files are prohibited.
