The famous cardinal Richelieu not only spent hours admiring the lacy embroidery of the masters, but also took the needle in his hands. Subtle artful lace conquered the whole world and the technique became known as "Richelieu" in honor of the great cardinal. Also it is named Cutwork.

We were one of the first to manage to transfer the Richelieu technique to the world of machine embroidery, and digitize our designs to obtain such lace.

How to Embroider Machine Embroidery Design Cutwork Lace Roses?

We have prepared for you a brief instruction on the embroidery of this design.

1. Choose a fabric basis, give preference to not thick cloths made from natural fibers (cotton, linen, calico).

2. Stabilize the fabric. Choose the right stabilizer. We also recommend using the lower thread in the color of upper. So your embroidery will look neat and really incredible.

3. Embroider the outline. Hoop the fabric with the stabilizer. Place the hoops in machine. After the machine has sewn the first circuit, stop it.

4. Without unhooping the fabric, cut it in the required places. You can use for this special scissors for Richelieu or the usual sharp. Make the manipulations carefully, without damaging the stabilizer.

5. Install the hoop in the machine and finish embroidering the design.

Incredible and delicate lace is ready in just a couple of minutes!
