For the Continuous Whimsical Floral Scroll design, we recommend using a heavy-weight stabilizer, such as Cut-Away Heavy or Tear-Away Plus (with a weight of 80-100 g/m²). This helps maintain the integrity of both the fabric and the intricate design during stitching.
Instead of hooping the suede directly, hoop the stabilizer first. Attach the fabric to the stabilizer using a temporary adhesive like Gunold KK100. This method prevents any hoop marks or potential damage to the delicate suede fabric.
To achieve a smooth, crisp finish on dense materials, place a layer of water-soluble topping, such as Solvy, over the design area. This ensures that the stitches do not sink into the fabric, giving the flowers and vines a raised, polished appearance.
