The features of embroidery on waffle fabric include:

~ Since this fabric is quite stable and dense, you can embroider even designs with dense cover on it. However, light contour patterns, such as Redwork, won`t be suitable. Such embroidery can “get lost” in the ribbed “wafer” structure.

~ This rib structure determines the way of stabilization of the fabric. Use both types of stabilizers: upper and lower. As the lower, we recommend to take a cut-away stabilizer of medium density, and as the upper one – a thin water-soluble film, for example, Solufix.

~ For embroidery on waffle fabric, it is better to use a pointed needle #75 or #75/11.

~ We do not recommend embroidering with a metallic thread on such a fabric.

Lastly, we will continue to dispel the myths of machine embroidery. Thus, many of our customers will receive answers to their questions.

Myth 1. Each selected design can be embroidered on any fabric. Yes, in many cases this is possible, if you properly stabilize the fabric. Although there are times when this rule does not work, for example, when embroidering on thin delicate or transparent fabrics.

Myth 2. After embroidery the fabric puckers or stitches misses is the result of a poorly executed design digitalizing. We want to note that the quality of the embroidery is influenced not only by the programming of the pattern, but also by the correctly chosen embroidery technology (stabilizer, thread, needle, and way of hooping). Moreover, if a violation of at least one of its components is not successful, the result is replaced by problems.

Myth 3. In order to save money, you can use improvised tools (printer paper, food film) as basic and additional materials and accessories for embroidery. Very often embroiderers are looking for the answer to the question “How to save the stabilizer for machine embroidery”. The answer is simple and probable “No way”.

We want to dispel this myth finally and assure you that the using of such auxiliary materials is harmful to your embroidery machine. Moreover, even if you do not notice it after the first time, after a while – this problem will make itself felt crash. In addition, repairs will cost a lot more. Remember this!
