It would seem at first glance that lilac is a simple and inconspicuous flower. However, at the same time there is something beautiful and mysterious in it. Did you know that the birthplace of Lilac is Persia?

In Europe, the lilac came only in the 16th century. Practically in all countries, where it fell, the lilac became a symbol of love, faith, compassion and mercy. The lilac retains this meaning even now.

Many artists use the symbol of lilac. Moreover, they appreciated these flowers for their wealth of shades. No less beautiful and popular is the embroidered lilac. It is also widely used in decorating and creating interiors.

Very organically, this design will look like on white cotton kitchen towels. Now we will tell you how to achieve this result.

To embroider Machine Embroidery Design Lilac Branch on a cotton kitchen towel you will need:

~ Cotton kitchen towel

~ Medium-weight cut-away stabilizer

~ Air-erase pen

~ Lilac Branch pattern from our embroidery designs online collection.

Since the cotton has the property shrink after the first washing, wash, dry and well iron the towel. To place the embroidery on the fabric properly, use a printed design template. Ordering embroidery designs online on various sites, sometimes even on the most famous, needlewomen should still spend time and create such templates with the help of a special program. However, Royal Present Embroidery already did it for you. It remains only to open the received archive of embroidery designs online, find the necessary file and print it.

Then attach the template to the fabric, and transfer the center point and the axis direction line with the air-erase pen.

Almost every fabric needs stabilization, and cotton is no exception. In this case, the medium-weight cut-away stabilizer is ideal. It supports the fibers of the fabric during embroidery, and during the using of the towel. Hoop the fabric together with the cut-away stabilizer in the embroidery frame. Align the marks on the towel with the marks on the hoops. Place the embroidery frame in the machine so that the needle is above the embroidery center you have selected. Turn on the embroidery design.

After the machine has finished embroidering, unhoop the fabric, cut off the excess stabilizer, retreating about one inch from the edge of the embroidery. The embroidered kitchen towel is ready.

Another no less interesting idea will be the embroidery of a lilac branch on a cushion in the style of patchwork sewing.

To do this, you just need to embroider a gentle lilac on a piece of dense, stable fabric, smaller than the size of the pillow and glue it in the middle.

Let us consider in more detail how to do this.

Take the necessary piece of cloth. We recommend using an outdoor fabric. Since this fabric is very stable, it does not burn out in the sun and does not lose an attractive appearance. Glue the fabric to cut-away stabilizer, which is sprayed with a fabric glue stick. When working with such glue of a temporary fixation, consider the following:

1 – Always shake the can before spraying.

2 – Spray the glue only on the stabilizer, and by no means on the fabric.

3 – Spray the glue away from the embroidery machine, otherwise its micro particles can settle on the parts, slowing or disrupting their work.

4 – Wait 2-3 seconds before gluing the fabric.

These are the basic rules. For more information about a glue of a temporary fixation adhesives and popular manufacturers, see our Embroidery Library.

Place the fabric with the stabilizer in the embroidery frame, checking that you tightened the screw. Load the embroidery frame into the machine and embroider the design. After the machine has finished embroidering, unhoop the fabric, cut off the excess stabilizer. Then, with a textile glue (for example, from Gutermann), glue the fabric with embroidery in the middle of the pillow.

Please note that the fabric with embroidery and the fabric of the pillow should be combined both in texture and in color. To make the pillow even more original, you can circle the perimeter of the glued fabric with special contours in tubes. They come with different effects. In this case, use a contour with silvery sparkles.

Note: contours are not combined with some synthetic tissues (mainly those with 20% synthetics in the composition). Be sure to check this before applying the contour to the product.
