To calculate the proper stabilizer weight, use this formula:
Fabric weight ÷ 3 = recommended stabilizer weight.
Example: If the fabric weighs 210 g/m² → 210 ÷ 3 = 70 g/m² stabilizer.
When embroidering on terry towels, use a cut-away or tear-away stabilizer underneath and a water-soluble topping on top. This keeps the loops compressed so the stitches stay clean and visible. Use a sharp 75/11 needle and a moderate machine speed for the best fabric embroidery results.
This machine embroidery design will elevate any holiday project, adding festive charm and inspiring you to create beautiful, seasonal décor and thoughtful handmade gifts.
