What stabilizer should I use?

For embroidery on linen napkins, use a light tear-away or water-soluble stabilizer to keep the reverse side clean.
Stabilizer formula:
fabric weight ÷ 3 = stabilizer weight
Example: 180 g/m² linen → 180 ÷ 3 = 60 g/m² stabilizer.

Machine embroidery life hacks

• Always pre-wash and iron linen to prevent shrinkage after embroidery.
• Add a water-soluble topping for crisp outlines on textured fabrics.
• Use needle size 70/10 for fine detail.
• Mark placement with a heat-erasable pen for symmetrical designs.
