Preparation and Stabilizers

• Stabilizer Choice: Use a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer, 40–50 g/m² (1.4–1.8 oz/yd²), such as Madeira Cut-Away Medium or Sulky Cut-Away Plus.

• Fabric Preparation: Pre-wash and iron the linen to prevent shrinkage and ensure smooth embroidery.

• Hooping Tips: Apply a temporary adhesive spray, like Gunnold KK 100, to secure the stabilizer to the fabric. Hoop both layers tightly and evenly to avoid movement during stitching.

Embroidery Process

1. Select a 75/11 needle for optimal stitching on linen fabric.

2. Use a moderate embroidery speed to maintain alignment and thread tension.

3. After embroidery, carefully trim the stabilizer close to the design and press the fabric lightly.
