INSTRUCTIONS - Christmas Village Cup Coaster ITH

Step 1:
Take two layers of tear-away stabilizer and apply temporary adhesive spray to them. Then, place the fabric on the stabilizer and hoop them together.

Step 2:
Begin embroidering the design. When the machine starts stitching the outline (marked in bright green in the instructions), stop the machine.

Step 3:
Turn the hoop over and attach a piece of fabric to the back — this will be the reverse side of the coaster.

Step 4:
Spray temporary adhesive on the reverse side, attach the fabric, and place the hoop back in the machine. Continue embroidering the outline using a thread that matches the fabric color.

Step 5:
Carefully trim the fabric along the outline on both sides.

Step 6:
Return the hoop to the machine and finish the embroidery. Remove the excess stabilizer.

Finished:
Your "Vintage Village" coaster is ready to use!

Question:
What fabric is best for embroidering a coaster?

Answer:
It’s best to use dense, natural fabrics such as linen, cotton, or blends with polyester. These materials are resistant to heat and moisture, making them ideal for coasters. The optimal fabric weight is between 180 to 220 g/m² (5-6.5 oz/yd²) to ensure the embroidery holds its shape and doesn't warp during use.

Question:
What stabilizer should be used if it remains inside after the embroidery is finished, and which brand is recommended?

Answer:
If the stabilizer remains inside the project, it’s best to use a soft tear-away stabilizer that won’t add extra stiffness and will be barely noticeable after completion. Madeira Cotton Soft (30-50 g/m² or 1-1.5 oz/yd²) or Gunold Tear Away are excellent choices. These brands offer high-quality stabilizers that are easy to remove and leave minimal residue, making the item comfortable to use.

Complete your table linen collection with the coaster from the Vintage Christmas Village series. This elegant machine embroidery design not only adds a touch of sophistication to your table but also serves as a practical accessory for everyday use or special occasions. A perfect choice for creating a cozy home atmosphere, it’s ideal for personal use or as a thoughtful gift.
