How to Embroider the Tiger Mascot on Sweatshirts

Embroidering on sweatshirts may seem challenging, but with the right steps, you can achieve professional-looking results:

1. Prepare the Sweatshirt:

   • Begin by washing and drying your sweatshirt to preshrink the fabric and remove any excess dye.
   • Lay your sweatshirt flat and decide where you want the design to be placed. For adult-sized sweatshirts, positioning the design about 3 inches below the neckline is a common choice.

2. Hooping the Sweatshirt:

   • Turn the sweatshirt inside out and spray a medium-weight cutaway stabilizer with temporary adhesive.
   • Smooth the stabilizer onto the back of the area where the design will be embroidered.
   • Turn the sweatshirt right side out and position the hoop, ensuring the marks you made align perfectly with the hoop.

3. Embroidering the Design:

   • Use a size 11 or 75/11 embroidery needle for best results.
   • Load the Tiger Mascot design onto your machine and begin stitching, making sure to monitor the fabric to avoid any bunching.
   • Once finished, turn the sweatshirt inside out again and carefully trim away excess stabilizer, leaving about ½ inch around the design. This stabilizer will soften after a few washes.
